Certification Decisions

Based on our comprehensive evaluation, we issue one of three certification decisions:

Full Certification

Program meets or exceeds all required standards and demonstrates excellence in training quality.

Valid for: 1 year

  • All required competencies adequately covered
  • Strong instructional design and assessment methods
  • Clear implementation guidance

Conditional Certification

Program meets most standards but requires specific improvements in identified areas.

Valid for: 6 months (pending remediation)

  • Minor gaps in competency coverage
  • Specific areas requiring enhancement
  • Remediation plan with clear timeline

Denial with Improvement Path

Program does not currently meet certification standards but receives detailed guidance for improvement.

Reapplication: After remediation

  • Significant gaps in competency coverage
  • Substantial instructional design weaknesses
  • Comprehensive improvement recommendations

Our Supportive Approach

At CareCorePlus, our goal is to help organizations achieve certification, not to create barriers. With any decision, we provide:

  • Detailed feedback reports identifying specific strengths and areas for improvement
  • Clear improvement recommendations with practical guidance for implementation
  • Resource suggestions to address identified gaps
  • Consultation support throughout the remediation process

Appeal Process

Organizations that disagree with their certification decision have the right to appeal through our structured appeal process:

Appeal Steps

1

Appeal Submission

Organizations must submit a formal appeal within 30 days of receiving their certification decision, including specific points of disagreement and supporting evidence.

2

Independent Review

A senior certification specialist who was not involved in the original evaluation conducts an independent review of all materials and the original assessment.

3

Advisory Committee Review

In cases of significant disagreement, our advisory committee conducts a comprehensive review and provides a recommendation.

4

Final Decision

A final decision is issued within 30 days of the appeal submission, including detailed rationale for the determination.

Our appeal process is designed to ensure fairness and accuracy in certification decisions while maintaining the integrity of our standards. We take all appeals seriously and work to provide transparent, evidence-based responses to each concern raised.
